Control of cellular homeostasis in health and disease
Purpose:
This research program will explore the roles of an essential cellular process called ubiquitination in influencing human health and disease. Abnormal ubiquitination is associated with many human ailments including cancer, inflammatory diseases, cardiovascular diseases and chronic kidney disease. Our research will uncover new mechanisms involved in these common diseases, thus generating new knowledge to better understand, prevent and help develop new therapeutic tools for their treatment.
