This project will support the Nouméa premiere in September 2018 of "Le Dernier Appel", a new multilingual, trans-Indigenous dance theatre work co-commissioned by Centre Tjibaou
Purpose:
Bringing together an international creative team with dancers of First Nations and immigrant descent from Australia and New Caledonia. It is the direct outcome of a multiyear collaboration between Marrugeku and Centre Tjibaou. The project builds the reputation of Marrugeku, not only in Noumea, but across the Pacific, and establish a platform for future Australia-Pacific arts collaboration.
