Tranquil Park Energy Uplift
Purpose:
The energy uplift program will allow Tranquil Park to reduce electricity and gas use and associated carbon emissions and energy costs. Bathroom hot water will be made more energy efficient before winter. An old 350litre electric hot water unit will be replaced with a 325l air source hot water heat pump. Heat loss will be reduced by insulating copper hot water pipes and replacing a continuous flow hot water loop with direct feed. In the reception/restaurant building the last old 14kW air–conditioner will be replaced with 2 new inverter driven units to reduce electricity used. The building fabric will also be upgraded with awnings installed to shade windows on the Southern aspect to reduce solar heat gain and energy used for cooling.
