Purpose:
This project involves upgrades at the Piccaninny Plains Airstrip including re-sheeting, drainage, vegetation removal, animal proof fencing and windsock and strip indicator replacement. The upgrades will enhance pilot and passenger safety and access to the airstrip for essential services including the Remote Air Services Subsidy Scheme, the Royal Flying Doctor Service and other emergency and aero-medical evacuations.
