Grant Activity:
Malaria Immunity and Elimination of Artemisinin Resistance Reservoirs
Purpose:
Ambitious global goals have been set for malaria elimination. Significant obstacles to achieving goals include increasing drug resistance and major knowledge gaps in malaria transmission. This project will establish how immunity impacts on patterns of malaria and drug resistance in clinical and community-based trials in pre-elimination areas. Practical tools and strategies will be developed to inform malaria treatment, monitor malaria exposure and evaluate the success of elimination programs.
