Grant Activity:
Mitigating the impacts of infectious disease emergencies
Purpose:
While public health and social measures have been central to the COVID-19 response and saved lives, many uncertainties remain as to their optimal use. Governments have been repeatedly required to balance the consequences of an uncontrolled outbreak against the social and economic costs of interventions. Over the next five years, I will use modelling and decision science to support the development of more tailored and adaptive response policies for COVID-19 and inevitable future pandemics.
