Purpose:
The project will engage young parents to return to work, involve senior community members as mentors, and engage local businesses to address employment challenges in Port Pirie and Jamestown.
Participants will implement a work or community project to develop inter–personal and work–readiness skill development, supported by workshops and mentoring.
The project includes targeted support for small and medium businesses (namely agriculture and hospitality/tourism); who are limited in their ability to support job seekers with work experience and employment due to a lack of in–house skills to effectively recruit, train and mentor new employees.
