Regional Strategies to Address Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking in Pacific Island States
Purpose:

To conduct research into corporate performance on addressing modern slavery by companies operating in Pacific Island States.  This will involve researching allegations of modern slavery or human trafficking and outreach with migrant, refugee, worker and communjity organisations to idnetify cases which would benefit from recording and monitoring.  A survey will also be conducted with companies on their policies and practices to address the challenges of modern slavery and human trafficking.  The project will also involve publicising findings of the research and company outreach via a planned online portal on business and human rights in the Pacific.
