Purpose:
We encourage and support community involvement through our youth education programmes, surf sports training and competitions. Our Club function room is also an important community facility, bringing people together for weddings, birthdays and corporate/private functions.
The refrigerator in our Club kitchen is used extensively for these functions, as well as for fund–raising and weekend Club activities during surf season. The upgrade of this refrigerator will provide numerous benefits to both our organisation and the local community.
Refrigerators have become significantly more energy efficient over time, through motor innovation and improvements in door seals.
The club will upgrade the function room commercial fridge with a new model that is energy efficient.
On notification of successful funding, the club will order the fridge from a reputable dealer, arrange installation and acquit the grant.
