Purpose:
This project is an assisted regeneration and weed control project at Lower Beechmont Conservation Area. The site is 13.17 Hectares in size and can be described as acacia regrowth dominated by environmental weeds. The site is identified as a state priority Koala rehabilitation area with a well recorded local koala population. The project aims to improve Koala habitat within the City's Clagiraba to Moreton Bay Critical Corridor, reduce further degradation of surrounding landscapes by preventing further spread of ecological weeds, and complement the already significant investment made by the City to restore this conservation area.
