Purpose:
My project involves replacing the original large, single–paned aluminium windows with more energy efficient double–glazed windows. The unique insulation properties of double–glazed windows will keep the rooms cooler in summer and warmer in winter by limiting the flow of hot or cold between the two panes. The outcome will be to reduce the current reliance on artificial heating and cooling and so make the motel more energy efficient overall.
