Pacific Rugby League Partnership – Brisbane Broncos Women's and Men's Legends Game
Purpose:
The purpose of this grant activity is to deliver against objective two of PacificAus Sports to support Australian sports teams to increase their presence and participation in the Pacific by supporting the Brisbane Broncos National Rugby League Women’s team and the Brisbane Broncos Legends team to stage an exhibition match in Port Moresby in September 2019. It will also send a strong signal for women’s empowerment through sport in PNG, by scheduling the women’s game as the main match. The game itself will generate positive benefits for the PNG Orchids and PNG Kumuls, by providing more regular opportunities for high-level competition on home soil.
