Purpose:
The Indian Ocean Craft Triennial (IOTA21) focuses on contemporary craft in the Indian Ocean region. IOTA21 presents contemporary interpretations of traditional craft by exemplary artists from Australia and Indian Ocean countries. Major exhibitions, ‘Futuring Craft’ conference and fashion event will bring together artists, makers, academics and researchers in dialogue to plot pathways for future collaborations, in Western Australia in 2021; supported by a state-wide festival.
