Purpose:
The Skillset CareerLink Central West project will develop three access points for quality careers information and advice, tailored to local job markets, with a target audience of jobseekers aged from 25–44. The project will have a central location careers hub in Bathurst that will provide a meeting point for jobseekers, parents, employers, influences etc, to enable access and collaboration on career information and advice. The project also aims to facilitate a mobile career advice service with a focus on jobseekers in regional and remote locations. This service will enable face to face career counselling for people who are unable to access services due to location. The third aspect of the project is to develop a community based CareerLink platform which aims to demonstrate the value of career development through high profile career events.
