Purpose:
Launceston Christian School students were successful in the regional and state finals for the National Science and Engineering Challenge with the national finals to be held in October in Bunbury, WA. This competition is an initiative of the University of Newcastle. Almost 2000 students from 52 different schools participated in 2 rounds across the state. 8 schools will compete this year in the national finals. Our school community has been working hard at fundraising events and seeking sponsorship from local businesses to to enable our team of 32 qualifying students and 4 staff to attend the competition and represent both our School and Tasmania at this national level.
