Genetic variants, Early Life exposures, and Longitudinal Endometriosis Symptoms study (GELLES)
Purpose:
This study will advance our understanding of the early development of endometriosis. It will help to identify women at risk of the disease and reduce the delay in receiving a diagnosis. The research builds on a large long-running Australian study of women’s health, collecting new data on early life factors, menstrual problems and other symptoms experienced during adolescence, as well as DNA samples. It will produce clinically useful tools developed collaboratively with end-users.
