Grant Activity:
Predicting and improving anti-tumour responses to immunotherapy in advanced cancer patients
Purpose:
Immunotherapy is a revolutionary new approach to cancer treatment, in which a
patient’s own immune system is directed to attack their cancer. However, these treatments are only effective for a small subset of patients. This project’s first goal is to develop a personalised medicine approach for immunotherapy drugs, thus improving outcomes for lung cancer and melanoma patients. Secondly, the investigators aim to use this knowledge to develop novel immunotherapy treatments for diverse solid cancer types.
