Purpose:
Through this project, Baxter Healthcare Pty Ltd will build supply chain resilience of critical intravenous (IV) medicines through increased vertical integration and new extrusion centre at Australia's only local manufacturing site for critical intravenous (IV) medical fluids. This project will support the manufacture of more than 50 Million units of life-saving IV medicines used in the ICU, emergency rooms, operating theatres and oncology wards around Australia. In times of pandemic, this project will support increased production volumes and agile manufacturing. Baxter Healthcare Pty Ltd will invest in extrusion equipment and install a new TGA-licensed aseptic clean-room facility within the existing Baxter manufacturing plant.
