Purpose:
The Project comprises:
Drill Carpentaria–3 vertical section; and
Drill, fracture stimulate and extended production flow test Carpentaria–3 horizontal section.
The key objectives of the Carpentaria–3 well program are to:
Optimise basin specific drilling, completion and fracture stimulation practice;
Identify the Velkerri shale sweet spot in the EP187 permit;
Further define a horizontal production type curve for development planning;
Demonstrate commerciality through sustained production flow of a horizontal well; and
Provide calibration to Carpentaria–1 and the planned Carpentaria–2 results.
