Purpose:
Rutra Pty Ltd (trading as Footwork Podiatry Laboratories) specialises in the manufacture of premium custom–made orthotic footwear inserts. This project will enable the company to transition from traditional subtractive manufacturing to 3D digital production using additive manufacturing technology for its orthotic devices, the first commercial Australian laboratory of its size to do so. Benefits will include increased production capacity and improved quality with reduced cost and wastage. In addition, better scalability and improved accuracy will assist Footwork to expand its share of domestic and international markets.
