Purpose:
The Port Lincoln Airport unsealed runway upgrade project will replace 1200 metres of the existing buckshot gravel runway (15/33) with 150 mm of crushed limestone rubble pavement. This project will improve pilot and passenger safety on the alternate runway by reducing stone damage to aircraft fuselage and propellers.
