In partnership with the Tasmanian Aboriginal community we will celebrate traditional and contemporary knowledge in science and technology in the Tasmanian Midlands Biodiversity Hotspot through 4 training days, 2 Science Week Expos and exhibition, field day, and a community symposium. The project will train 53 Aboriginal youth at Oatlands and Campbell Town Schools, to empower them to communicate to families, farmers and the wider community with two science Expos, learning from 60,000+ years of Indigenous culture and sustainable land management including biodiversity of native flora as bush food and medicine. A community symposium and field day will demonstrate relevance of Aboriginal Land Management to current Midlands restoration practice.
