Purpose:
Fortem Australia will provide mental health and wellbeing programs to support law enforcement and security personnel who have been impacted by the Covid-19 Pandemic. The programs will encompass both preventative and restorative health strategies aimed at enhancing social connection as a key moderator of psychological health and a factor which exerts a positive influence on the potential harm caused by stress and trauma. The holistic approach will address the important role played by family members as well as the barriers of poor mental health literacy and self-stigma which hamper engagement in traditional mental health services.
