Purpose:
Telstra will deliver 6 Cell and Repeater Trailers (T-CART) and 6 Fly-Away Kits (T-FLAK) for emergency response solutions. Our T-CART solution is a compact mobile base station in the form of a trailer (towed by vehicle) that can either repeat existing Telstra Network coverage or act independently in producing mobile coverage via satellite or fibre optic backhaul. The T-FLAK solution is a small, modularised unit which can be transported via vehicle, trailer, aircraft and/or helicopter to provide concentrated mobile coverage via satellite backhaul. The addition of these assets to our existing fleet of temporary solutions will materially enhance Telstra's ability to respond to natural disasters and the requests of Emergency Service Operations.
