Purpose:
Beaker Street is a one–of–a–kind celebration of science and art, introducing Australia s public to today s most exciting scientific minds and ideas, in and around Hobart s iconic Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery. Featuring fascinating talks and hands–on workshops by world–leading scientists, interactive science/art installations and performances, the annual Science Photography Prize, live music in the Speakeasy Bar, Tassie food & drink, and 150+ roving scientists to chat with, Beaker Street is a scientific wonderland for adults. Open to everyone and accessible to all, Beaker Street returns for a fourth year in 2020 with an all–new lineup, the inaugural City of Hobart Science/ Arts Trail, scientist–led expeditions, and much more!
