Purpose:
The project will construct new pipework, water storage and pumping equipment to allow the direct connection of the upgraded sewage treatment plant to the recycled water reticulation network.
The key eligible Project activities to be undertaken by the Grantee is to upgrade the Yeppoon Recycled Water Network, including:
? Construction of a recycled water main from the Effluent Pump Station at the Yeppoon Sewage Treatment Plant to the existing main from Barmaryee Lagoons;
? Installation of a booster pump station at the Effluent Pump Station to accommodate increased flows from inlet works during extreme weather events and improve reliability of supply to the existing recycled water network
? Repurposing of redundant clarifier tanks at the treatment plant to create 1.9ML capacity effluent storage within the network to cater for differing diurnal flow variations of supply and demand;
? Modification to the existing pump manifolds at the Effluent Pump Station to provide for the new mains;
? Installation of a return pipeline from the Barmaryee Lagoons to the head of the sewage treatment plant to allow re-processing of lower quality effluent in high network demand periods
