Improving health outcomes by identifying biomarkers to delineate common mechanistic pathways and to monitor therapeutic effect of clinical trials in childhood dementia
Purpose:
Childhood dementias are a wide-ranging group of conditions characterised by global neurocognitive decline, progressive loss of skills and behavioural changes, with a devastating impact, high level of unmet need and shortened life expectancy. The Biomarkers to trEAT Child Dementia (BEAT CD) study will develop and implement a comprehensive panel to diagnose and monitor treatment effects, essential for all childhood dementia therapies.
