Purpose:
32 students from Y9 and 10 in Whitefriars College competed and won their regional challenge in the Science and Engineering Challenge run Deakin University in Geelong Victoria against other secondary schools. Our college achieved the highest score in the state and therefore has been invited to compete in the National Science and Engineering Challenge in Darwin in October. All of the Science and Engineering challenges are STEM based, small group, hands on challenges in a competitive timed environment and are run from Newcastle University.
