Grant Activity:
Implementation and evaluation of a co-designed exercise program to reduce falls in older people from culturally and linguistically diverse communities
Purpose:
Falls are the second leading cause of disability in older people. There is strong evidence that exercise reduces falls, however most older people do not meet physical activity guidelines. We are currently co-designing a program, Move Together, to increase the uptake of exercise to reduce falls with older people from Italian, Arab and Chinese communities. This study will evaluate the effectiveness and cost effectiveness of Move Together, and develop strategies to support implementation.
