The VAPE Program: Trends, prevention and implementation of evidence-based strategies for reducing vaping among young people in Australia
Purpose:
E-cigarette use and associated harms are rising rapidly. The VAPE Program proposes three world-first streams of research to address this:
1) Trends: detailed monitoring of e-cigarette use among young Australians;
2) Resource Development: a new evidence-based suite of prevention resources; and
3) Implementation: translating resources into real-life practice in existing health and education services.
This project will directly reduce use of, and harms associated with e-cigarettes in Australia.
