Installation of solar units at club
Purpose:
Purchase & installation of solar panels & convertor on roof of Club House. The solar units installation is important, as our club is working to reduce financial overheads and increase youth participation and inclusion. Our clubs success is made possible by a wealth of young local talent in both the playing group and coaching areas of our club, our club has a strong focus on inclusion with a partnership to support the use of Rugby as a tool to provide opportunities to enrich the lives of young Indigenous people via the Lloyd McDermott program, our club also supports the Pacific Islander community in our area. Our club is focused on a goal of introducing and increasing participation in Rugby to young women & men across our local community. Once in place the solar units will be managed as required by the Australian standards. SRC has a six–monthly safety inspection process to ensure the fixtures within the facility are safe and fit for purpose. The solar units will be included in the clubs fixed assets data base this will include inspection by qualified Electrical contractors as required.
