Connect2Abilities: Creating Australia-Korea People-to-People Connections...
The University of South Australia seeks to connect arts practitioners, academics, and policymakers in Australia and Korea through its Connect2Abilities: Art & Technology project. This project will create cross-cultural engagement through (i) the Online Australia-Korea Art & Technology Talk Series, (ii) a digital case study video of each participating Australian organisation covering their philosophies, processes, and practices as well as (iii) an open-access best-practice case study e-book for industry both in English and Korean. Hosted jointly by the Arts Council Korea (ARKO) and the Korean Association of Arts Management, the Australia-Korea Art & Technology Talk Series will partner with Australia’s four leading Art & Technology organisations representing festivals, performing arts, museums, and artists’ residencies: Illuminate Adelaide, Patch Theatre, MOD. (Museum of Discovery.) and ANAT (Australian Network for Art and Technology). The Australia-Korea Art & Technology Talk Series will provide a collaborative platform for cultural dialogue and pave the way for future collaborations and long-term Australia-Korea partnerships in the burgeoning field of Art & Technology. Our digital cross-cultural engagements will enable the preservation of what might have been lost in a traditional event-setting, while transforming a temporary collaboration project into a long-lasting digital cultural asset accessible to extensive communities.
