Purpose:
The Kinephonics' neuro-rehabilitation pilot will teach non-verbal adults to speak and generate vital data about the role of working memory and cognitive decline in humans. This new data-driven technology provides a next generation health infrastructure for accelerating and evidencing speech development across all patient demographics and treatment modalities. The impact of the project lies in the improvement of the life outcomes for stroke victims; the reduction of treatment and rehabilitation costs for non-verbal stroke survivors; improvements in ongoing patient care; and increased access to rehabilitation services, not restricted by geographic location and language.
