Purpose:
Sutherland Shire Family Services propose to offer specialised casework, parenting programs, youth and family caseworker services, aboriginal support programs, and domestic violence support services. The funding will support the employment of a caseworker 3 days a week to run the Defence Family Support program and support families for 6-12 months. Referrals for the service will be through identified social work pathways within Holsworthy Barracks and Defence services. Families will have access to playgroups, therapeutic services, occasional childcare and youth services.
