Coleambally Community Science Engagement Project
Purpose:
Coleambally Central School is currently raising fund to hold a Science Week event. The money from this grant will be used to create an engaging community centered event. The main focus of the community event is to encourage and support students including those from historically under-represented groups to participate in science. Coleambally is a rural and remote town, which has limited opportunities for students to engage in hands-on science presentations. This grant will offer many people within the Coleambally Central School community and surrounds an opportunity to see both unique science experiments and practical experiments that link to growing infrastructure and job opportunities within the community area.
