Purpose:
Adelaide Energy Pty Ltd (a wholly owned subsidiary of Beach Energy Limited ( Beach Energy )) will construct a new Katnook Gas Processing Facility ( the Facility ) to process gas from the recent Haselgrove–3 ST1 discovery well (located within Petroleum Production Licence 62 ( PPL 62 )), and potentially future successful wells in the Otway Basin area, and supply the local South East South Australian market. The Facility will be located on the site of the existing defunct Katnook Gas Plant ( Existing Plant ), approximately 7.5km south of Penola. The Existing Plant will be removed and the Facility will be constructed to process up to 10 TJ/d. The Gas Acceleration Program grant ( GAP Grant ) funding is expected to accelerate first gas to market.
