Purpose:
A grant has been awarded to boost the efforts of schools and preschools, community organisations and local councils to address crime and antisocial behaviour by funding crime prevention initiatives that benefit the wider community. The expected outcome of the project is to protect children who are at risk of attack, harassment or violence stemming from racial or religious intolerance. The grant is expected to fund the installation of 16 CCTV cameras with associated software, new fencing, an intercom system and security alarm systems, hiring a security guard, and conducting an engagement and resilience program. This will ensure ongoing community safety, asset protection and crime prevention.
