Grant Activity:
iPSC clinical trials - population wide screening of patient iPSC's to reassess high value drug targets for motor neuron disease
Purpose:
Motor Neuron Disease (MND) is rapid and fatal disease that affects 1000's of Australians every year. Emerging research suggests that previous clinical trials may have missed drugs that were effective only for a subset of patients. We aim to use stem cells from people with MND to re-assess all previously tested drugs in a virtual clinical trial. The project seeks to rapidly determine which patients may benefit from each drug to find new treatments for MND.
