Building the capacity of community mental health services to provide preventive care to people with a mental health condition
Purpose:
People with a mental health condition have a higher prevalence of key modifiable risk factors such as poor nutrition and inadequate physical activity, resulting in an inequitable burden of chronic disease. This research will support people with a mental health condition to engage in healthy behaviours by implementing practice change in community mental health services across 3 health districts in NSW. This will lead to improved health outcomes for people with a mental health condition
