Purpose:
This project will support HydGene Renewables in the production of net zero hydrogen using innovative process design and synthetic biology approaches. HydGene Renewables engineers bacteria to convert sugars from farm biowaste into hydrogen at unprecedented rates and yields. The technology provides on-site and on-demand hydrogen in almost any location with a relatively small footprint. Additionally, HydGene Renewables are designing new bacterial strains for the direct production of ammonia from biomass.
