Purpose:
The Saving koalas through community action in the Scenic Rim project is a conservation and recovery effort to improve the trajectory of koalas through three key activities: community action, applied research and ecological restoration. It will deliver a coordinated, region-wide community citizen science action to collect koala scat. Analysis of this scat will deliver necessary information and knowledge on koala populations and health within the Scenic Rim, facilitating strategic, evidence-based conservation decision making. Ecological restoration work will be delivered in a strategic, high priority location to improve the quality and connectivity of koala habitat.
