Grant Activity:
“Off-the-shelf” CAR-T cell immunotherapy for brain cancer
Purpose:
Over the last two decades the overall survival of brain cancer patients have remained largely unchanged. Our group has previously shown that adoptive T cell therapy directed to a common herpesvirus, CMV can be safely used for the treatment of brain cancer patients and this therapy can offer clinical benefit to some patients. In this project we are aiming to assess a novel dual targeting T cell therapy which is specifically designed to target tumour-nourishing cancer stem cells.
