Nogoa River Recreational Track
Purpose:
The proposed Nogoa River Recreational Track is strategically located alongside the Nogoa River in Emerald. Emerald is in Central Queensland and is the regional hub for the Central Highlands. The river is highly visible, located in the centre of town near many attractions and tourism facilities. The track commences from the popular Botanic Gardens, and follows the river upstream almost 2 kilometres, finishing at the top weir. The Nogoa River, Botanic Gardens and outdoor activities are significant to the region, driving economic growth, enabling tourism and improving liveability. The track will provide residents and visitors with improved recreational opportunities, making the most of Emerald&aposs outdoor lifestyle and increasing tourism activity.
