Purpose:
This project will upgrade the black soil airstrip to an all-weather airstrip, erect wildlife exclusion fencing, solar lighting and a windsock. This project will benefit nine other remote stations as well as improve conditions for the Royal Flying Doctor Service, the Queensland Rural Fire Service and the Maranoa Regional Council. The project will enhance pilot and passenger safety and access for all users especially the Royal Flying Doctor Service and other essential aero-medical services.
