Grant Program:
2020_MRFF_COVID-19_Vaccine_Candidate_Research_R2
Grant Activity:
A single dose, globally accessible vaccine to combat emerging SARS-CoV-2 variants
Purpose:
The emergence of highly transmissible SARS-CoV-2 variants threatens to derail COVID-19 control efforts. We have developed a next-generation vaccine, delivered as a single dose, that targets these variants. In this proposal we willl undertake late-stage pre-clinical testing to determine the optimal vaccine formulation, define protective efficacy against SARS-CoV-2 infection and assess vaccine safety/tolerability. Outcomes will be used to fast track vaccine progression to clinical testing.
