Purpose:
The East Gippsland Bushfire Recovery Illumination Project is a two-part public art project that will complement 2 annual events in 2021: the Bruthen Blues & Arts Festival and Wild Harvest Seafood Festival. Students at the respective schools in each town will create themed lanterns that will 'shine a light' and 'illuminate' the streets during and after their events. Grant funds will be used for: creation and installation of art pieces in each town (Bruthen and Mallacoota) and marketing.
