Purpose:
Australia currently has no sovereign launch capability putting the nation at a strategic, economic and social disadvantage. This project aims to overcome this problem by developing leading edge, low cost, high availability rocket propulsion technology through development of a Rotating Detonation Engine (RDE) design to integrate into a space launch system. This will enable Australia to have a sovereign Low Earth Orbit Launch Capability so Australia can launch satellites and other space assets.
