Purpose:
CSIRO in collaboration with Geosciences Australia, will build a South East (SE) Asian Earth Observation (EO) Open DataCube (ODC) Platform to inspire the development and promotion of a smart climate products and services. User groups for the platform will include organisations from government, industry and research sectors. The project aims to support Australian Earth Observation businesses to build strategic partnerships in Asia (Earth Observation market in Asia-Pacific has a forecast value of US$1.8tn by 2030); position Australia technology and climate know-how in Asia, support regional stability with tools to assess climate investment risks and develop essential public policy such as water security or disaster resilience.
