The Macleay Wildlife Habitat Bushfire Recovery Project
Purpose:
The Macleay Wildlife Habitat Bushfire Recovery Project will assist the recovery of wildlife populations in the Macleay Valley following the 2019/2020 bushfires. The project will support wildlife habitat recovery by restoring fire–affected or degraded vegetation communities, increasing the availability of nesting sites for hollow–dependent wildlife, and delivering educational workshops. These activities will be undertaken on private and public lands in partnership with landholders, community groups such as FAWNA NSW Inc, and the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service.
