SciScouts - Lifesaver Drone Outreach Program
Purpose:
Updated application with new dates in early November 2022, to align with venue availability. SciScouts, the STEM & Innovation program of Scouts Australia ACT Branch, will partner with the Australian UAV Service to bring 180 Scouts aged 5-18 from the ACT and nearby southern NSW to participate in the Lifesaver Drone Outreach Program in October-November 2022. This will be offered as a centralised program for Scouts from across the ACT and nearby southern NSW to participate in a specialised program that is not part of their usual Scout program. Scouts will become a UAV PILOT for a day. Theyll be exposed to some great role models, learn how to fly a drone, and have fun as they are taught STEM by stealth.
